I am a guitar/violin/mandolin player that have been playing forever.
I also build my own instruments, notably a 6 string electric violin (That is tuned in fifths like a real violin!) that I use through my guitar amp and it is difficult at times to distinguish if I'm playing violin or guitar in that set-up.
